The ribbon cutting for the new Oxford Place Senior Apartments was Saturday at 9a.m. There was an invocation from Greater Light Church of God in Christ pastor, Alonzo Aron. Then, short speeches by John Hall from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Clifton Snorten from the Office of Congressman Andre Carson, Jeff Bennett from the City of Indianapolis, and Tedd Grain from Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC). Here are several photos from the event.
Once the speeches and cutting were over, the public toured the building and enjoyed coffee and treats from Pia Urban Café & Market.
There are many nice amenities for residents of the new building. Pleasant outdoor spaces, a greenhouse for gardening, a bookshare, a bikeshare, nice shared spaces for residents and visitors.
