Opportunity Zones are federally certified census tracts in low-income areas that provide tax incentives for capital investment. These zones are intended to spur investment in under-served communities, both urban and rural. The White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council was created to help coordinate resources that can be used in Opportunity Zones and other economically disadvantaged communities. Below is a map of the Opportunity Zones that overlap with the IndyEast Promise Zone geography.
