Through this grant, the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana will provide fair housing education opportunities to housing providers, housing consumers, advocates, government officials, and others to learn about rights and responsibilities under fair housing laws to decrease incidents of housing discrimination. Education opportunities will also inform people who may be victims of housing discrimination of their rights under law and how to seek justice for what has occurred. The project will provide a number of fair housing trainings and presentations, PSAs, social media, website, publication distribution, legal seminar, fair housing exhibits, and more – all with a goal to educate the public on fair housing laws and how to identify housing discrimination.
