The Department of Justice’s Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program Grant allowed the City of Indianapolis to develop and implement at strategic plan in order to increase the partnership and relationship between IMPD and residents. The plan addressed substance abuse and mental health disorders, increase opportunities for education and employment, and improve relations between police and communities.
