The Assets for Independence grant increased the number of Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) available through the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority. IDAs allow low to moderate income families to use personal savings in conjunction with matched funds to accelerate savings and acquire assets – homeownership, business development, or further education or vocational training.
