United Neighborhood Centers of Indianapolis and United Way of Central Indiana partnered with Undue Medical Debt to eliminate nearly $240 million in medical debt for more than 112,000 residents across seven central Indiana counties. The initiative provides automatic debt relief to eligible residents, with approximately 90% of those benefiting living in Marion County. Southeast Community Services Executive Director Peggy Frame spoke on behalf of United Neighborhood Centers of Indianapolis, emphasizing the need to address the financial burden of medical care and expand access to affordable, quality health care.
