More than 112,000 Hoosiers are expected to receive relief from nearly $240 million in medical debt through a partnership between United Neighborhood Centers of Indianapolis, an anonymous donor, United Way of Central Indiana, and Undue Medical Debt. The initiative will automatically eliminate qualifying medical debt for eligible residents, with more than 90% of beneficiaries living in Marion County. Southeast Community Services Executive Director Peggy Frame joined community leaders in announcing the effort, highlighting the need to make health care accessible to all.
