Spring 2021, Construction and Skilled Trades Cohort

The IndyEast Promise Zone (IEPZ) and partners present the first IndyEast XBE Cohort Program for Eastside Minority, Women, Veteran, or Disability-Owned (XBE) businesses. Created to assist Eastside small businesses with City and State Certification and navigate & pursue public & private bidding/procurement opportunities with the goal of securing contracts.

The program will be designed to build capacity of existing small businesses in the construction or a skilled trades industry. It will be a 6-week program delivering a curriculum focusing on business education, technical assistance, and networking. This will include one 1.5-hour class per week. Participating businesses will receive a stipend to help with implementation.

Applications deadline is February 28th, 2021 at 11:59 pm. Businesses will be notified that same week on their status. All classes will be virtual. Courses will begin the week of March 15th and run until the week of April 19th. Specific times and dates will be determined with the participants of the cohort. Up to 6 businesses will be selected to participate. Priority will be given to businesses within IEPZ boundaries. More information can be found here.
